Rick MacLeod Farley, Macleod Farley and Associates-
Rick is a Development Economist with Irish- and French-Canadian heritage. He has nearly thirty years’ experience working with and for Indigenous communities, in Canada, and for Native American communities on community-, tourism- and ecotourism-development planning and financing.
MacLeod Farley & Associates has helped secure more than US$48 million in funding and placed ‘top ten’ at the 2008 World Proposal Championships. Rick’s work on Cree Village Ecolodge project for MoCreebec Eeyoud Cree Council helped win numerous awards and recognition by National Geographic as one of the top 25 ecolodges in the world.
Rick has an Honours Economics B.A. and has studied towards a Masters in Rural Planning and Development He was on the advisory board of The International Ecotourism Society (2010-2014). Rick has presented on tourism project planning and financing at conferences in the US (Anchorage, Green Bay, Hilton Head, Madison), Canada (Vancouver, London, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City) and internationally (Brazil, Scotland).
