Ashley Bland

Ashley Bland is the director of Travois Design & Construction Services (TD&CS), which also operates as Travois Architecture PC in some states. She and her team conceptualize, plan and design homes and buildings, both for new construction and rehabilitation projects, to create culturally-appropriate, environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient homes and buildings for American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian clients. The team also provides environmental services, such as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and consulting, and visits construction projects monthly to monitor progress and ensure homes are built on time, within the budget and according to the architectural plans. Ashley has worked in the affordable housing industry since 2004, and with Travois since 2005, and is very familiar with the various funding requirements and commitments necessary for affordable housing design. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, and she holds the Construction Document Technologist (CDT) designation from the Construction Specification Institute. Ashley also holds International Code Council (ICC) certifications as a Residential Building Inspector, Residential Electrical Inspector, Residential Mechanical Inspector and Residential Plumbing Inspector.
